Yinzhou District covering an area of 1,381 square kilometers with a population of 776,600,has 18towns and 459 villages. The whole area in the shape of a dancing butterfly is the largest and strongest among the districts under the city's jurisdiction. Thelocalgovernment outlines a bold scheme to build Yinzhou into a zone featuring a robust economy, an eco-oriented town, a higher education park and a tourist attraction in the new century.

Yinzhou District has a thriving economy characterized by biginput and big output. It is home to more than 15,000 industrial organizations. Its industrial network is supported by six arms including light textile, garment, machinery, electronics, automobile parts and food. Its overall economic strength dwarfs most of its equivalents in China. GDP：In 2005, its GDP reached RMB 33.9 billion yuan. Fiscal Revenue：RMB 6.0 billion yuan in 2005, ranking No. 2 among Zhejiang's counties and districts. GDP per capita：USD 4603 in 2004. Foreign Trade：In 2005, its imports and exports totalled USD 4.19 billion . Foreign Capital Use：At present, the district is home to 1018 foreign businesses with a contractually used foreign capital of USD2.46 billion and actually used foreign capital of 1.23 billion.
A larger number of foreign-funded enterprises have been established in Yinzhou District including Marubeni, Itochu, komatsu,and Daiei from Japan, TRWandBorgwarner Interbrew fron Beligum,akzonobelyx fron Netherlands,from U.S., and Metro from Germany etc.

Ningbo Mingzhou Industrial Zone—— Advanced manufacturing industry base around Hangzhou Bay

Mingzhou Industrial Park Ningbo Mingzhou Industrial Park is located in the southeast suburbs of downtown Ningbo, central areas of Yinzhou. It is close to new Yinzhou city. The planned floor area is 102.8 sq. km, with 24 sq. km initiated at first. It is an advancing manufacturing base around the Hangzhou Bay in Zhejiang and key industrial park in Ningbo.

Ningbo Mingzhou Industrial Park is located in the southeast suburbs of downtown Ningbo. It starts from Tongsan Freeway in the east, and extends to out-ring of Yinzhou in the south and west, close to Ningbo around-the-city Highway in the east. The Yong-Jing Freeway, 34 th Provincial Highway, and two Yinzhou roads just pass through it. It is 3.5 km away from Ningbo Lishe airport and 40 km from Ningbo Beilun Port. The transport is very convenient.

The park is close to new Yinzhou city and equipped with complete facilities including nearby school, department store, medical center, hotel, golf course etc, which have offered good support for the park. Wangchun Industrial Zone—— Professional production park

Ningbo Wangchun Industrial Park covers an area of 31.4 sq. meters. It is located near new Yinzhou city and 4 km away from downtown Ningbo, 20 km for Beilun Port- which the second largest output in Chinese mainland. Ningbo Lishe International Airport is located right in the south, 5 minutes' driving distance from the park. Hu-Hang-Yong freeway and Yong-Jin Highway can be accessed from the park. The surrounding highway around the city is under construction.

The core area of Ningbo Wangchun Industrial Park is the key development area of the park. The planned area is 6 sq. km. It extends to Yin county Road in the south, extended Lianfeng section that connects with the downtown in the north, Buzheng west Rd. in the east and Yong-Jing Highway joint line in the west. The transport is very convenient to downtown Ningbo, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Wenzhou and Taizhou.

The dominant industries include electric information, mechanical auto accessories, new materials and modern service industry. At present, we have introduced 24 projects, including Li-ion battery cathode materials with an annual output of 800 tons and new type galvanothermy materials. Both of the projects are national 863 projects. The core block is expected to be constructed a scientific and technical, outbound and environmental-friendly industrial block.

Binghai Investment & Innovation Center —— New space for investment & innovation
Located in Zhanqi Town in the eastern Yinzhou District (on the banks of Xiangshan Port), it is facing the sea and back on the mountains. The landscape is fabulous. It covers an area of 7.05 sq. km. Staring from the coastline of Xiangshan Port, it extends to the coastal center line in the west and shares a common boundary with Beilun in the north, then extends to the Dasong River in the south. It is 35 km away from downtown Ningbo and 23 km away from Beilun Port. Both of them are within half-an-hour distance. After connected with Xiangshan Port Bridge, the Tongsan Freeway can be accessed (costald great routeway) directly. Meanwhile, it would be connected with Hangzhou Bay routeway, coastal counties and cities, as well as main port districts. Therefore, the transport is very convenient.

The land property of Binghai Investment & Innovation Center is industry and mine land (salt). Therefore, the development and construction does not occupy the plowland index. Procedures for acquiring land certificate are very convenient.
